As a passionate language-lover, our founder Lía delights in exploring how languages work—counting from one to ten in Japanese or Romanian, spotting patterns in Dutch or Papiamento, joining a French table or enjoying lessons in German, Greek, Italian, or Latin (with Chinese still on her bucket list!).
For more than 15 years, Lía has taught English and Spanish—mainly in her hometown of Buenos Aires, but also in Terre Haute, IN, and Chicago, IL. Her experiences as a student, instructor, and traveler have shaped her belief that classes should be student-centered, thoughtfully designed, and full of confidence-building engagement.
Her passion for instructional design deepened while studying at Indiana State University under Professor Feng-Qi Lai, where she discovered how knowledge, creativity, and efficiency go hand in hand in teaching.
From this journey, Languages in Action was born. We bring together a growing collection of exclusive learning materials, a dynamic teaching method, and carefully chosen instructors who truly love what they do. Our small-group classes, immersive programs, and community focus make us more than a language teaching center—we’re creating a whole new way to learn.
